Kristen Naes, LMSW
Licensed Master Social Worker
I’m Kristen (she/her), a Licensed Master Social Worker who specializes in spiritually integrative, trauma-informed therapy for women and LGBTQIA+ adults. I support clients navigating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, relationship challenges, identity exploration, and life transitions. My approach is warm, intuitive, and collaborative, honoring your inner wisdom as the foundation of healing.
About Kristen
I bring a deeply compassionate, intuitive presence to the therapy room, grounded in the belief that every person has an inner source of clarity, strength, and truth. My work is guided by the understanding that healing happens within relationship—when you feel safe, respected, and free to explore all parts of yourself without judgment. Before becoming a therapist, I spent years immersed in spiritual development and intuitive practices, which continue to inform my work in a grounded, trauma-sensitive way.
I am especially passionate about supporting individuals who are rebuilding after painful relationship experiences, reconnecting with their bodies, reclaiming their identity, or navigating periods of significant change. My goal is always to help clients feel more centered, empowered, and connected to themselves.
My Approach to Therapy
My approach to therapy is spiritually integrative, trauma-informed, and grounded in deep respect for your inner authority. I believe that every person carries their own unique wisdom, and my role is not to direct or “fix,” but to walk alongside you with compassion and humility. The therapeutic relationship is the heart of the work we do together, and I prioritize creating a space where you feel seen, safe, and empowered to move at your own pace.
I draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic psychotherapy, mindfulness-based practices, and—when aligned with your interests—spiritually oriented therapeutic techniques that support meaning, intuition, and inner connection. Whether we are working with protective and wounded parts, gently attuning to sensations in the body, or slowing down to cultivate mindful presence, my goal is always to help you deepen your relationship with yourself.
A decolonized approach is central to how I show up in the therapy room. This means honoring your cultural context, lived experiences, identity, and personal belief systems. It also means recognizing and challenging the ways dominant narratives, systemic forces, and inherited patterns can shape how we see ourselves and our relationships. I strive to create a therapeutic space where your voice, your practices, your traditions, and your truth are centered—not minimized or pathologized.
Intuition is also a meaningful part of my work. I listen not only to your words but to the emotional, energetic, and somatic cues that arise within our sessions, using this intuitive awareness to guide the process with sensitivity and care. Together, we explore what feels true, what feels possible, and what feels healing for you.
