Healing is not a destination, but a journey that unfolds—each step defining pathways to the strength and resilience within us.

For those seeking healing, and for those helping others heal — we offer therapy and clinical consultation, available in-person in Newington, CT or online.

Welcome to Pathways to Healing & Connection

At Pathways, we believe that healing is a process of discovering the strength, wisdom, and resilience within you. Our therapists offer both in-person and virtual sessions to make therapy accessible and supportive wherever you are. We provide individual and group therapy for adults and teens (ages 14+), helping you navigate life’s challenges with compassion, understanding, and evidence-based care.

Our team specializes in supporting neurodivergent individuals, women, and LGBTQIA+ folks navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and other life challenges. Whether you’re looking for a safe space to process your emotions, explore your identity, or build new coping skills, we’re here to walk alongside you every step of the way.

And for the clinicians walking alongside their own clients —Melissa Hoon, LCSW offers Pathways to Practice, individual case consultation designed to help therapists build tools, confidence, and clarity when working with neurodiverse clients.

At Pathways, we believe in meeting people where they are — whether you're a client seeking healing and support, or a clinician looking to strengthen your practice. Our services are available virtually and in person at our Newington office, designed to be accessible, collaborative, and supportive at every stage of the journey.

  • Healing looks different for everyone, and so does the path to get there. Our therapists offer individualized support for anxiety, trauma, PTSD, ADHD, depression, life transitions, and self-esteem, using evidence-based approaches including EMDR, Brainspotting, EFT, IFS, and somatic work. Whether you're processing the past, navigating the present, or building toward the future, each session is tailored to your goals, your pace, and your unique way of moving through the world. Individual therapy is available both in-person and virtually.

  • Facilitated by Melissa Hoon, LCSW

Our weekly therapy groups meet throughout the year with no set start or end date, offering consistent opportunities to practice social skills, build coping strategies, and receive support. Groups are available in person and virtually through a hybrid format to make participation accessible.

  • Facilitated by Melissa Hoon, LCSW

We also host regular meet-and-greet events designed to bring autistic individuals together for connection and fun. These gatherings are open to everyone, whether you are part of a therapy group or not, and you do not need to be a therapy client to attend.

Activities include bingo, trivia, board games, crafts, and more, with new ideas always welcome. These events create a warm, engaging environment for people to connect and enjoy themselves.

  • Are you a therapist seeking support in your work with neurodiverse clients? Melissa offers individual case consultation to help clinicians build tools, explore neurodiversity-affirming strategies, and leave each session with a concrete plan. Consultation is available via telehealth or in person at $100 per session.

Support Groups & Events

We offer weekly support groups and social events for the neurodivergent community, all facilitated by Melissa Hoon, LCSW. Our ongoing groups provide a consistent space for individuals with autism to build social skills, practice coping strategies, strengthen communication, and receive support at their own pace. We also host inclusive meet-and-greet events—open to anyone on the spectrum—featuring activities such as bingo, trivia, crafts, board games, and events in the community.

Whether someone prefers structured therapeutic support or a relaxed opportunity to connect with others, our groups and events create welcoming spaces where every individual can be themselves and feel understood.
